Pro Bono Bono

As a business communication consultant, I’m a big fan of the HBR  – Harvard Business Review and I was very exited to see the respected publication includes academic studies of Bono and u2.

Nancy F. Koehn is a historian at the Harvard Business School. When you look at the studies and articles she has produced – you get tired scrolling down and down…and down some more. She is prolific.

She is obviously a Bono and u2 fan too and she has carefully studied the group and extracts business lessons about:

change management in turbulent times (u2 has managed well to survive and thrive in the changing music industry)

leadership

teamwork

-decision making    – how the group makes decisions and has stayed together. Many groups split up over disagreements in what action to take

brand
